this stands as THE defining moment we watched 3-D actually destroy a film and stand testament to the terrible, terrible idea of adding it in post-production. It is an effect so bad that it is all most of us can talk about. I know half a dozen critics who watched half of the film blurry rather than subject themselves to the torment of this bastardized hack job of a 3-D render; the rest of us suffered in silence, occasionally checking out the shot composition by lowering our glasses for a moment, repeatedly. How bad is it? See it in 2-D if at all possible. Do not, under any circumstances, watch the 3-D version of this film.

If I were you I'd avoid the 3-D version of Clash of the Titans. It's a stunningly ineffective post-production "3-D conversion," and this is not a film that was actually created with 3-D in mind. I've not seen the "traditional" version yet, but I'd be willing to wager my entire blu-ray collection that the 2-D looks a lot better than the chintzy 3-D version does.

That conversion, make no mistake, is a pure scam. It represents an easy way to bilk a few extra bucks out of each audience member. Not only is nothing added by this conversion, but when you see characters whose heads are misshapen by the effect, or others who seem to be in a totally different scene from the people around them, you’ll realize that something has quite definitely been taken away. Clash of the Titans is a movie without any life force to spare; converting it to 3D is about as kind as asking someone to make out with Medusa.

Või pisut staažikam kriitik Kenneth Turan, LA Times:
It's doubtful that records are kept about this sort of thing, but consider the possibility that "Clash of the Titans" is the first film to actually be made worse by being in 3-D.

Uh, palju parem tunne kohe...
Fact is, the law says you cannot touch! But I think I see a lotta lawbreakers up in this house tonight...
